This idea is being submitted on behalf of Deanna Morrison from Concord Hospital.
Make the Panic Button feature configurable - being able to adjust the interval between taps or to change to a triple tap (not my favorite idea, but it has been presented to me by our Security department), or something of the sort MIGHT help with erroneous double taps.
To solve this issue newer badge models - Smartbadge and Minibadge - have a dedicated panic button inset in to the side of the device which requires a press-and-hold action to initiate. This placement avoids accidental presses.
This has been suggested by our security team at Gateshead. This is due the the amount of accidental double taps. I would like to try the mini badge for this functionality as our end users preferer the B3000 to the SMARTBADGE.
