Enforce database standards by having edits before you save the record

It would save me a lot of time adminstering the database and make it more consistent and in some cases allow the system to be more efficient if the system edited the data on profiles before allowing them to be saved. A couple of examples include:
- A warning that pops up when a user is created but not assigned to a) any groups b) a department group
- Not allowing a Device record to be saved if there is no label ID or owning department
