I have noticed that users are able to be assigned to a patient's room in the staff assignment database even if they are not logged into a badge. This poses a problem because the alarms are not being sent to them. Is there a way to make it so the users have to be logged into a badge before they can be assigned to a patient room? We are trying to increase compliance with the staff assignment system but it will only work if staff is assigned/logged in properly.
With the ability to assign more than 8 assignments in Vocera Platform 6.X and the escalation logic of Engage ensuring alerts move through the active users efficiently we would not want to limit the assignments to only active users.
