We utilize sometimes multiple environments - admin should be able to remove/discharge patients to help with cleanup. Moreover, some staff assignments duplicate (as a known issue with end dates/times) and admin can help cleanup as needed without the need for Vocera support.
@JeffP UCLA would like this option in cases where the EHR failed to synch. We should consider allowing admin's to discharge patients, this case comes up more frequently with empty beds. Should this discharge be done accidently, an ADT push could be triggered to return the d/c'd patient
@ALewis Would you want to manage this through Vocera or through the EHR? It seems risky to handle on the Vocera side as any changes would need to be synched with the EHR. Is there another use case for managing patient d/c within Vocera?
